Geylang Serai, Singapore

A home to the Malay community as we can find here also Malay Village shown flashback to the old lifestyle of Malays in Singapore around 60's. Drink a cup of tea and a plate of pratas in Mr Teh Tarik Eating House while enjoying your morning is a good choice, or visiting Geylang Serai Market for fresh food, fruits and vegetables. But, the most interesting thing on this area is to walk through Jo Chiat Rd, and you will be stunned by its beautiful, colorful, historical, great art works design shophouses and buildings.

"Candy House"The historical peranakan buildings are very clever works of art styled in a mixture of early 20th century and colonial design.

"Lord Vinayagar" - In the main prayer hall, there are sculptures of the 32 forms of Vinayagar in granite form, eight sculptures in each of the pillars,.This is a unique feature which is not seen even in temples in India.
